Caxixi - Basket Rattle

Caxixi are awesome! Played singly or in pairs as shakers they are perfect little percussion machines that sound perfect in all sorts of musical ensembles. These caxixi hand-made by Pererê for a crisp & perky sound. And yes, of course, they are played in accompaniment with the berimbau. Each caxixi has been lacquered to seal it and keep its surface clean. Pererê decorates and signs each caxixi at its base. They are pretty, rugged, and durable, just don't let them lay around for your dog to chew on!
